Why Join?

This year, European regulations have kept companies operating in the EU on edge. Just as the EU Deforestation Regulation (EUDR) gained traction—with governments and businesses investing millions to ensure compliance—revisions disrupted carefully laid plans. Meanwhile, the Corporate Sustainability Due Diligence Directive (CSDDD) enters its transposition phase with limited clarity on reporting requirements. Amid this uncertainty, one thing remains clear: data is key for building resilience.

While a streamlined reporting process for compliance remains a distant goal, collecting and leveraging accurate, granular data from every stage of supply chains—especially at the farm level—has never been more critical. This reliance on data presents both challenges and opportunities: deciding what to collect and how to use it to align with regulatory and sustainability goals.

But compliance is only part of the story. Could better data integration not only meet regulatory demands but also create smarter, more efficient supply chains and drive sustainability forward? That’s exactly what we’ll explore in our final session of the year!

Join us to uncover actionable insights and prepare for 2025.

What to Expect

Over six years of hosting the Living Wage & Income Lab, we’ve seen sustainability and procurement teams working more closely. Yet, unsustainable practices persist at the start of agri-food supply chains. This session will explore how data-driven approaches can tackle these challenges head-on.

Meet the speakers guiding the discussion:

  • Johannes Luderich (GIZ): Sharing best practices supported by the Due Diligence Fund from GIZ’s Sustainable Agricultural Supply Chains Initiative (SASI), including how public-private partnerships can help you stay ahead of the CSDDD.
  • Andrea Rusman (Impact Institute/True Price): Presenting fresh insights from collaborations with agri-food brands across diverse commodities, including results from a social impact scan.
  • Jildemarie Brower (AKVO): Offering a data-driven perspective on metrics that drive meaningful improvements in both sustainability and supply chain efficiency.

Let’s use this year’s final session to explore clear examples and map out actionable insights
